Ekohotel Koroš

Ekohotel Koroš is a family-run hotel primarily specialized in mountain biking and outdoor activities, and during the off-season, it caters to various interest groups. The hotel is open continuously from April to November. Outside of these months, it is open anytime for closed groups.

Accomodation:

• 7 twin/ double rooms
• 2 suits with 3-4 beds
• Apartment with 2 rooms (5 beds)
• All units have own bathroom with shower and toilet.
• For larger groups, we also provide additional accommodation at the neighboring organic tourist farm Mikl.

In addition to the dining room, primarily intended for pension dinners and breakfasts, we also offer a club room (PC, TV, LCD projector, wireless internet) and a large panoramic terrace with a glassed-in multi-purpose space. In Ekohotel, we also have a small sauna with a relaxation area and a massage table available for your enjoyment.

Our eco-hotel operates on a club-type basis, and we do not offer catering services to guests who are not staying with us. Therefore, all spaces will be exclusively reserved for your group. A self-service bar, equipped with a refrigerator containing beers, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as a hot drinks vending machine, is available in the dining room 24 hours a day. Consumed drinks will be settled before departure.

The price for 1 night with breakfast is €55 per person. The tourist tax is €1.6. There is a supplement of €35 for a single person staying in a double room.

UNDERGROUND BIKING – a cycling route beneath the mountain

With mountain bikes, we usually enjoy the mountains, but here you can also ride through the mountain. We have discovered a passage through abandoned and mysterious mining tunnels. With a guide, helmet, and flashlight, you can safely cycle more than five kilometers of a unique underground path from one valley to another, experiencing an unforgettable adventure. The route follows secure tunnels and rises only by 15 meters, yet the indentations and bumps of former railway sleepers don't allow for a smooth ride.

BLACK HOLE TRAIL

The Black Hole Trail is designed to be a challenge and adventure for technically well-equipped and highly experienced mountain bikers. The route is full of challenges and technically demanding sections. During the descent, there are also some very interesting flowing segments where you can relax and enjoy views into the endless darkness of large chambers. In case any part proves to be too demanding, it can always be conquered on foot.

Underground Hiking Adventure: The Black Hole

You can experience the unimaginable size of the mysterious underground world created by our ancestors over several centuries by walking with a guide along a path intended for the adrenaline rides of mountain bikers. The descent with headlamps on steep sections of the trail is reminiscent of a via ferrata, as the most challenging areas are secured with ropes and cables for your safety.

UNDERGROUND KAYAKING

Experience a unique underground adventure in the Mežica mines! In 1994, the mines fell silent, but the underground tunnels are still full of secrets. Your adventure begins with a ride on a mining train, taking you to the water tunnel. Equipped with protective gear, you board a kayak and discover the magic of underground lakes, tunnels, and excavations. This is followed by a walk through abandoned workplaces and an interesting miner's snack. In the end, you can also explore the collections in the mining museum. A unique experience awaits you underground!

OLIMPLINE OVER ČRNA NA KOROŠKEM

Thrill-seeking visitors can descend from Navrški vrh, on the other side of Črna, near the Kogelnik farm, on the longest zip line in Slovenia and one of the longest in Europe and the world, called 'Olimpline.' During the descent, you will enjoy the natural beauty of our area and surroundings, experiencing an adventure that will stay with you forever. Attached to a 1263.5 m long zip line, at a height of up to 219 m above the ground, you will 'fly' with a breathtaking view of the landscape and surrounding peaks, reaching speeds of up to 120 km/h.

The Ekohotel is located on our ecological farm Koroš, so the menus are based mainly on our ecological products and traditional local dishes.

For groups staying with us, there is an option to organize lunch as well. The price depends on the menu.

Upon arrival or later, we can provide homemade pastries, beverages from the vending machine of your choice, water, and juice.

In the dining room, a self-service bar - refrigerator (beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks) and a hot drinks machine are available 24/7. Consumed drinks are billed before departure.
